Tutor on Target Mission statement
The aim of Tutor on Target is to build a positive and caring relationship with each and every tutored pupil by assessing their individual learning needs, setting up their learning goals, giving a personalised support in their learning journey and celebrate their success and achievements.
Advantages of private tuition
At Tutor on Target we are fully aware that education is paramount in each and every individual development and adult career. However, as professional educators and teachers we also appreciate that in classrooms with often 30 pupils and more, those children who are less confident or find learning more challenging, may find themselves left behind and develop gaps in their learning.
Private tuition is an effective means to support each pupil in closing those gaps through tailored learning and by setting personalised learning targets.

About The Tutors
For many years I have been based in Bournemouth and I worked in a number of primary schools in the area and in London both as supply and permanent teacher. During my teaching career I worked with most year groups and I have gained an extensive knowledge of the New National Curriculum and methods for its successful delivery. Having taught in Year 2 and Year 6, I familiarised myself with SATs preparation for both year groups and pupils in my care achieved excellent results in English, reading and maths.
I also have experience working with SEN children, including those with ADHD, Aspergers, Autism & Dyslexia.
In 2019, I started to work as private tutor of children from Reception to Year 8 and I personally found it extremely rewarding, particularly for the positive relationships created with all individual pupils and their families. I was able to enable all children to achieve tangible academic progress and self-belief.

Motivated by a passion for learning and love for supporting young people in their development, I completed a teaching degree and later obtained a Qualified Teacher Status.
